Outdoor paving, pool surrounds and façades

Outdoor stone needs to resist sun, frost and wet feet. Inorganic terrazzo, granite, travertine and limestone are suited to it; quartz is not, as sunlight discolours its resin.

Choose a textured finish where people walk barefoot or the surface gets wet. Flamed or bush-hammered granite and brushed travertine give grip.
