Stone feature walls and wall cladding

A feature wall shows the most stone in one view. Jumbo slabs keep joints few, and book-matched natural stone mirrors the veins across the joint.

For walls up to about 3.2 m high, a single slab height covers floor to ceiling without a horizontal joint.

Which materials work

MaterialSuitedNote
Natural marbleYesBook-matching possible. Approve numbered slabs.
QuartzYesIndoors. Jumbo slabs up to 3500 mm.
Engineered marbleYesClose match across many slabs.
OnyxYesBacklit walls.

Specifying notes

  • Mark the joints on your elevation drawings. We lay out the slabs to place the veins.
  • Thinner slabs, 15 to 20 mm, keep wall loads down.
