With care: marble and limestone etch with acids such as lemon juice and wine. Sealed: terrazzo worktops need a penetrating sealer. Quartz is not suited to direct sunlight outdoors.

Applications

An island is usually the largest single surface in a kitchen, seen from every side.

Kitchen worktops take heat, knives, acids and water every day.

For US projects, we supply natural stone countertops and slabs: granite for hard-working kitchens, marble where the owner accepts etching.

Bathrooms are where natural marble works best: walls and vanities see little acid, and a book-matched shower wall shows the stone at full size..

A feature wall shows the most stone in one view.

Floors take the most wear of any surface.
