These terms cover the use of datumsurfaces.com and summarise how we sell. Each sale is governed by its written quote and order confirmation, which take priority over this page.
Quotes and prices
- We sell by written quote only. Prices are not shown on the website.
- Each quote states the price, quantities, crates, gross weight, lead time, the Incoterm and named place, payment terms and how long it is valid.
- An order is accepted when we confirm it in writing.
Samples, colour and variation
- Photos on this website show the look of each surface. Screens and lighting change how colour appears, so approve every surface from a physical sample.
- Engineered surfaces can vary slightly between production batches. Order all of one surface from a single batch.
- Natural stone varies from slab to slab. For natural stone we send numbered photos of the actual slabs for your approval before shipment.
Specifications
- Technical data on this website is general guidance. Where we send a data sheet or test report with your quote, it takes priority over this website.
- The suitability of a surface for a particular use, structure or installation is for the specifier and installer to confirm.
- Engineered quartz releases crystalline silica dust when cut. Fabricators must follow the safety data sheet supplied with each order.
Delivery and risk
Delivery, costs and the passing of risk follow the Incoterm named in the quote, under Incoterms 2020. Before loading and balance payment we send photos of the slabs and the packed crates. Report any transport damage in writing on delivery, with photos, so a claim can be made.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in each quote, for example a deposit to start production and the balance after you approve the pre-shipment photos.
